Introduction to the IDL Math & Stats Module This is the recording of the live web seminar Introduction to the IDL Math & Stats Module, presented February 11, 2010. It gives an overview of what the Math & Stats module is, as well as the functional areas it covers. Most of the seminar is spent demonstrating the use of routines within the Math & Stats module. The seminar is targeted for people who are familiar with IDL’s analysis library and are curious to see what the Math & Stats module offers. IDL Solutions Web Seminars IDL Solutions for Applications in Spectral Microscopy This recorded live web seminar illustrates the hardware and software solutions for applications in Spectral Microscopy. Topics In Numerical Analysis This recording provides an overview of the numerical analysis tools built into IDL. It includes discussion and examples of using built-in IDL routines to perform interpolation, curve fitting, signal processing and image processing. The ENVI 4.7 SP1 release brings the rich analytical functionality of the ENVI 3-Window display to the ENVI Zoom Dynamic Display interface, combining ENVI’s best tools for visualization and analysis with a robust display capability. You will learn how to create custom workflows, add your most frequently used tools to the “ENVI Favorites Toolbox”, and explore other new analysis capabilities. An Introduction to Hyperspectral Analysis with ENVI Learn the benefits of using hyperspectral data and the tools ENVI has to analyze your imagery in this web seminar. Some of the topics addressed include visualizing hyperspectral imagery, extracting spectral profiles, working with ENVI’s Spectral Libraries, and using spectral classification tools in ENVI that are built specifically for hyperspectral data. Even though a user may not visually see an object in the hyperspectral image, the goal is to learn how to use spectral analysis to detect and identify targets in areas of interest. ENVI Features and Functionality This recorded web seminar covers the range of ENVI functionality of workflow-based tools and key functional areas, such as Change detection, Feature extraction Classification, Spectral analysis and Data calibration. ENVI & ArcGIS Integration This recorded demonstration shows how ENVI can be used in a typical GIS application. In this case, ENVI Feature Extraction is used with IKONOS imagery to identify the permeable and impermeable regions in a specific watershed. These results are used as a parameter in an ArcGIS stormwater runoff model and demonstrate how using automated feature extraction with ENVI can improve the accuracy of the model. ENVI Add-on Module Web Seminars ENVI Orthorectification Module This recorded web seminar explains ENVI's process of accurately registering imagery to ground coordinates and geometrically correcting it to remove distortions that happen during image capture. ENVI Solutions Web Seminars Image Analysis for GIS This recorded demonstration brings together multiple tools in ENVI to show the process of delineating changed shorelines as a result of the 2004 tsunami, automatically extracting those changes, and exporting them directly to a geodatabase. ENVI Applications in Forestry This recorded web seminar discusses how imagery can be used to assess forest health, identify and inventory valuable tree species, monitor forestry management practices, and locate invasive species.
