  ENVI Modules and Plugins

ITT offers several modules and plugins to extend ENVI's functionality. Click on the links below for more details on these ENVI modules and plugins.

ENVI DEM Extraction Module

Users of remotely sensed imagery – from developers in defense and commercial industries to scientists and researchers – increasingly need spatially accurate, 3D representations to help them analyze their images. The new ENVI DEM Extraction Module helps you to quickly create DEMs – and get more information from your imagery.

ENVI RX Anomaly Detection Tool

Getting valuable information from geospatial imagery is often challenging – the size of the image and the sheer number of pixels to review can be both overwhelming and time consuming. To narrow the field of interest to the areas most likely to contain important information, image analysts will often focus on areas with anomalies. Now, ENVI users can make use of the ENVI RX Anomaly Detection Tool, to quickly identify anomalies, or features in an image that are different from the overall image background.

ENVI NSIF/NITF Module
ITT Visual Information Solutions introduces this new module for ENVI that supports reading and writing image files in the National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) and the NATO Secondary Image Format (NSIF). The ENVI NITF module will allow customers who require a certified NITF software environment to take advantage of ENVI’s image analysis functionality.

ENVI FLAASH

FLAASH (Fast Line-of-sight Atmospheric Analysis of Spectral Hypercubes ) was developed by Spectral Sciences, Inc., a world leader in optical phenomenology research, in collaboration with U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Spectral Information Technology Application Center (SITAC) personnel. FLAASH allows you to remove the obscuring effects of the atmosphere more accurately than ever before.

SARscape for ENVI

SARscape is designed as a specialized software package for processing of SAR/InSAR data, and perfectly complements ENVI's functionality for analyzing and visualizing remote sensing data of any kind. The new add-on module called SARscape for ENVI is particularly useful for ENVISAT or RADARSAT applications, where dedicated SAR processing is required in combination with data fusion techniques for SAR and optical data.

ENVI Reader for ArcGIS

The ENVI Reader for ArcGIS plugs into ArcGIS 8.1 (or later) and allows the ArcGIS software to access the ENVI raster file format. The ENVI raster file format consists of a flat binary file with an associated text header file containing the details needed to interpret the image data.

ENVI with RemoteView

ITT Visual Information Solutions has integrated its powerful hyperspectral analysis software, ENVI with Sensor Systems' high-performance RemoteView ELT software for applications in the defense and intelligence fields.

ENVI Feature Extraction Module

The ENVI Feature Extraction Module allows you to quickly, easily and accurately extract features from high resolution imagery. This add-on module to ENVI uses object-based image analysis technology so you can extract features from readily available pan and multi-spectral imagery and data.
