Network Services DICOM Support for IDL |

ITT Visual Information Solutions announces the release of the IDL DICOM Network Services Module, a new add-on module for IDL. This IDL module builds upon the functionality of the IDL DICOM Toolkit introduced last year which gave IDL users the ability to read and write DICOM files using IDL. |

IDL Across the Medical Imaging Workflow |

The IDL DICOM Network Services Module provides Query / Retrieve and Push / Store capabilities, allowing IDL users in commercial, research and clinical applications to now make IDL an integral part of their medical imaging workflow. New and existing IDL users will benefit from the ability to:
- Read and write DICOM files,
- Access DICOM files and images from existing networks, and
- Store and disseminate analyzed imagery and data to workgroups and networks.

With the IDL DICOM Network Services Module, IDL users will recognize significant increases in productivity, improved access to existing medical imaging data and the ability to integrate IDL applications into existing networks and operations. |

ITT Visual Information Solutions Medical Imaging Suite for IDL |
|
|
ITT Visual Information Solutions’s Medical Imaging Suite for IDL is part of ITT Visual Information Solutions’s continuing commitment to the medical imaging community, a commitment that extends back to the very foundation of IDL. The Medical Imaging Suite for IDL includes the IDL DICOM Toolkit, the IDL DICOM Network Services Module and IDL Developer and Runtime. This suite will be complemented by enhancements and additional functionality for medical imaging applications coming in IDL 6.2, scheduled for release Summer of 2005.
